A Day We Loved
Brooke Hyland & Brian Thalman's February wedding at La Casa Toscana was full of the moments we hope every couple experiences here.
Some weddings stay with us.
As a venue, we get to witness a lot of beautiful celebrations. But every so often, a wedding has a rhythm all its own—one that makes the entire estate feel especially alive. Brooke and Brian's day was one of those weddings.
From the soft blue worn by the bridal party to the white florals surrounding the ceremony, every choice felt intentional. Most importantly, the day never felt overly produced. It felt like a celebration shared with the people they love.
The estate did what it does best.
There is something special about seeing the property through a couple's eyes. The villa, gardens, cypress-lined paths and outdoor ceremony spaces gave Brooke and Brian countless places to slow down, take photographs and simply be together.
The couple chose La Casa Toscana after discovering the estate online and realizing that our Italian-inspired setting was close to family in Southwest Florida. According to The Knot, they considered several venues before deciding that nothing compared to La Casa Toscana.
A ceremony that let the gardens speak.
We loved how the ceremony design worked with the estate rather than trying to compete with it. White florals, classic chairs and the gazebo created a clean, romantic focal point while the surrounding greenery brought softness and depth.
From our perspective, this is exactly what an outdoor ceremony at La Casa Toscana can be: elegant, photographed beautifully from every angle, and still completely connected to the landscape.
A little blue, a lot of personality.
The soft blue bridal-party dresses were one of our favorite visual moments of the day.
The color brought a fresh Florida feeling to the classic setting while still keeping the overall look timeless.
Paired with white florals and the warm tones of the estate, the palette photographed beautifully from the ceremony through the reception.

Then the estate changed with the evening.
As the day moved into dinner and dancing, the atmosphere became warmer and more intimate. Draping, chandeliers, white florals and layered table details transformed the reception space without losing the understated elegance of the wedding.
We especially loved the contrast between the polished tablescape and the energy of the celebration around it. It felt sophisticated, but never too precious to enjoy.
Beautiful details, without losing the fun.
The best celebrations have a little bit of everything: beautiful tables, meaningful portraits, a great outfit change, a toast, a dance floor and plenty of reasons to laugh. Brooke and Brian's reception had that balance.
The couple also incorporated personal food and entertainment choices throughout the evening, including sushi during cocktail hour and a Pittsburgh-style cookie table—details that made the celebration feel connected to them rather than simply styled for a photograph.
And then, just like that, it was their forever.
For us, the most rewarding part of a wedding isn't any single photograph or design detail. It's watching a space become part of someone's story. We are grateful Brooke and Brian chose to begin this chapter here, and even more grateful to have seen the people they love fill the estate with so much joy.
